India just got a fresh headline for India’s creator economy. Instagram is reportedly rolling out Meta AI reel translation support for five regional Indian languages such as Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi. I was literally planning to launch the Sorted Girl Marathi but now I don’t need to because Meta AI can literally clone your voice and lip-sync your video so that it looks 100 per cent natural. Now if you’re an English creator, your reach will be way wider because millions of regional users can consume the same video in their language. Just ensure that you turn the translate reel toggle while uploading your reel and select all the Indian languages.

Second feature is clickable overlay links. Instagram now allows you to place a clickable link right on top of your reel. So now your audience don’t have to hit the link in your bio or story tabs but currently it only supports the internal Instagram link so maybe you can link related videos or for brand collabs you can add the brand’s profile directly in the frame so your audience can follow them without having to leave your video.
